NISSAN ENDS 2022 ON A GREAT NOTE AS THE 2023 NISSAN ARIYA CONTINUES TO IMPRESS

NISSAN HAD A GREAT YEAR IN 2023; THE RELEASE OF THE 2023 NISSAN ARIYA HAS POINTED THE COMPANY IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION. LET’S LOOK AT THE ACHIEVEMENTS THAT NISSAN HAS MADE THIS YEAR.

2023 NISSAN ARIYA NAMED ‘EDITOR’S PICK’ IN NEWSWEEK AUTO AWARDS

Newsweek honored the 2023 Nissan Ariya as an ‘Editor’s Pick.’ The award is a new category this year that is chosen by Newsweek’s editors based on performance, style, and drivability. Newsweek wrote that the Ariya is a “breath of fresh air into the Nissan lineup, amplifying what the company excels at and pushing forward fresh design and equipment”.¹

The Nissan Ariya was released this year as Nissan’s first all-electric SUV, joining the LEAF. The SUV has impressed many so far and shows where Nissan is going in the future.

NISSAN Z WAS NAMED AS A FINALIST FOR THE NORTH AMERICAN CAR OF THE YEAR

The North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicles of the Year Awards named the Nissan Z as a finalist for the North American Car of the Year award. The NACTOY is judged by 50 jurors of journalists in the automotive industry. They award a car, truck, and utility vehicle each year, and the Nissan Z was named a finalist in the Car category.

Since 1969, the Nissan Z has represented the sleek and modern side of the Nissan brand. The winners will be announced on January 11, 2023.

NISSAN ARIYA AND PATHFINDER ROCK CREEK EARN AWARDS AT MIAMI AUTO SHOW

The 2023 Nissan Ariya was named Vehicle of the Year by Sobre Ruedas and the Rock Creek Pathfinder was named Best SUV of the Year. The Ariya was released as a new model this year and has hit the ground running.

Jaime Florez, director of Sobre Ruedas, said, “I have no doubt the Ariya will be a total success in the already competitive electric segment. It’s not only innovative from the technological point of view, but also very attractive and sophisticated, inside and out.”²

The Rock Creek Pathfinder was also applauded for its off-roading features and more rugged take on the Pathfinder model.

NISSAN PATHFINDER AND FRONTIER WIN AWARDS AT THE ANNUAL TEXAS AUTO WRITERS ASSOCIATION TRUCK RODEO.

The Texas Auto Writers Association named the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek as the best “Mid-Size SUV of Texas” and the 2022 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X as the best “Mid-Size Pickup of Texas”. The announcement was made at the annual TAWA Truck Rodeo after a two-day evaluation at Eagle Canyon Raceway off-road course in Decatur, Texas.

Teia Collier, president of TAWA, said the “Pathfinder is a beautiful example of a model makeover done really well, TAWA members were impressed by its bold good looks, enhanced interiors and powerful capability, on the road and off.”³ The Pathfinder received a serious upgrade in 2022 and the 2023 model continues to impress. With towing capabilities up to 6,000 lbs, the Pathfinder is a formidable vehicle.

“Frontier continues to hold strong as a powerful combination of good looks, capability and comfort that TAWA members loved – again,” said Collier. “We are glad that we had the opportunity to test the Frontier on a rugged off-road course.”⁴ The Nissan Frontier has been a staple in the Nissan lineup for many years, and it continues to impress those that test it.
